Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Tricorn Travels, a travel agency based in the Sultanate of Oman, operating globally. By making a booking with Tricorn Travels, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. All services are provided in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Sultanate of Oman.

1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Sultanate of Oman.

2. General

Tricorn Travels reserves the right to amend prices, policies, itineraries, and these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any such changes will apply to future bookings only.

3. Booking, Fees and Payment Terms

3.1 Booking Fee

Each booking is subject to a non-refundable booking fee of 0.3% of the total purchase value. This fee covers administrative and processing costs and is non-refundable under all circumstances.

3.2 Payment Terms

Full payment is required at the time of booking in order for a reservation to be considered fully confirmed. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the booking without notice.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies vary depending on the specific trip. The applicable cancellation terms are clearly stated under the “Prices” section of each individual trip listing on our website. Customers are responsible for reviewing and understanding the cancellation policy applicable to their booking prior to confirming the reservation.

5. Travel Documentation and Entry Requirements

5.1 Passports

  • Travelers must hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months validity beyond the date of return, unless otherwise specified by the destination country.
  • Passport details provided during booking must exactly match the passport used for travel.
  • Tricorn Travels is not responsible for errors entered by customers. Corrections may incur additional fees and, in some cases, may not be possible.
  • The validity of passports is solely the responsibility of the traveler.

5.2 Visas, Vaccinations & Entry Requirements

Obtaining visas, vaccinations, and meeting the destination’s all entry requirements is the sole responsibility of the traveler. Tricorn Travels is not liable for denial of entry, boarding, or transit due to insufficient documentation or failure to meet entry requirements.

Travelers are strongly advised to check visa and health requirements well in advance of departure.

In addition, we collect emergency contact details for all travelers and may request additional personal or travel-related information when required for operational, safety, or regulatory purposes.

6. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers.

Your policy must include coverage for:

  • Personal accident
  • Death
  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency evacuation and repatriation

A minimum recommended coverage of USD 200,000 per category applies.

Travelers must provide their insurance policy number and the insurer’s 24-hour emergency contact details on or before the first day of travel. Failure to provide valid insurance details will result in denial of participation, for which Tricorn Travels accepts no responsibility.

7. Changes to Itinerary

7.1 General

You acknowledge that the nature of travel requires flexibility. Routes, schedules, itineraries, accommodations, activities, and modes of transport may be altered due to local conditions, weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.

7.2 Before Departure

If a significant change occurs (defined as affecting at least one day in five of the itinerary), travelers will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and may:

  • Accept the change
  • Accept an alternative trip offered
  • Receive a refund of the land portion of the trip only

7.3 After Departure

In cases of force majeure or emergency circumstances, additional costs incurred due to necessary itinerary changes will be the responsibility of the traveler.

Tricorn Travels is not responsible for incidental expenses resulting from itinerary changes, including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, or non-refundable flights.

8. Problems, Complaints and Emergency Situations

Any issue arising during the trip must be reported immediately to the group leader or local representative to allow for prompt resolution. If unresolved, the traveler should request escalation to the representative’s direct manager.

9. Behaviour and Conduct

Travelers must comply with the laws, customs, and regulations of all destinations visited.

If a traveler’s behavior is deemed illegal, unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate, Tricorn Travels or its representatives reserve the right to remove the traveler from the trip without refund and at the traveler’s own expense. This may also result in refusal of future bookings.

10. Acceptance of Risk and Liability

Travel involves inherent risks, including political instability, health risks, remote locations, and limited access to medical facilities.

By booking with Tricorn Travels, you acknowledge and accept these risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tricorn Travels shall not be liable for any loss, injury, illness, or death arising from such risks.

You consent to emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary and agree to reimburse any costs incurred on your behalf, including evacuation or repatriation.

11. Safety Requirements

Where seatbelts are provided in vehicles, vessels, or aircraft, travelers must wear them at all times while in motion. Failure to do so may limit or exclude liability in the event of injury or death.

12. Minimum Age Requirement

Travelers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian or an adult formally appointed in writing by the legal guardian. The legal guardian or appointed escort assumes full responsibility for the minor’s care and conduct during the trip.

13. Personal Information and Data Protection

13.1 Use and Sharing of Information

To enable the provision of services, Tricorn Travels may share personal information with suppliers and service providers located within or outside the Sultanate of Oman.

Sensitive information (including dietary, religious, medical, or disability-related requests) may be shared with relevant suppliers solely for service delivery purposes.

13.2 Information Collected

We may collect personal and financial information including name, contact details, and payment information to process bookings and provide services.

13.3 Use of Information

Personal information is used for booking management, communication, billing, and—unless opted out—marketing communications. Customers may opt out by emailing info@tricorn-travels.com

13.4 Data Retention

Information is retained only as long as required for legal or legitimate business purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for analysis.

14. Late Arrivals and Missed Departures

Travelers are responsible for arriving at the designated meeting point at the clearly stated trip start date and time, as outlined in the booking confirmation and itinerary documents.

If, for any reason, you anticipate that you will not arrive on time — including but not limited to flight delays, cancellations, missed flights, visa issues, or personal circumstances — you must notify Tricorn Travels as soon as reasonably possible.

Tricorn Travels will make reasonable efforts to assist you in rejoining the group at the earliest feasible point in the itinerary. However, please note:

  • It may not always be possible to fully recover or replicate missed portions of the trip.
  • Activities, accommodations, transfers, or experiences will be non-refundable. Some may not be rescheduled.
  • Any additional transportation, accommodation, logistical arrangements, or administrative costs required to facilitate rejoining the group will be at the traveler’s sole expense.

Tricorn Travels shall not be held responsible for any missed services, experiences, or additional costs arising from late arrival or failure to join the trip at the scheduled start time.

Tricorn Travels reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
