At Tricorn Travels, our name isn’t random — and neither is our logo.

The tricorn hat is one of the most recognizable symbols of the great age of exploration. With its distinctive three-cornered shape, the tricorn became popular in the 17th and 18th centuries across Europe and the Americas. Sailors, merchants, officers, and explorers wore it while navigating the world’s oceans during a time when maps were still being drawn and distant lands were waiting to be discovered.

The design itself was practical. The brim of the hat was folded into three points to help shed rain and allow sailors to keep clear peripheral vision while working on ships. But over time, the tricorn became more than just practical clothing — it became a symbol of adventure, curiosity, and discovery.

During this period, the world was opening up. Trade routes expanded, cultures met, and travellers set out on journeys that reshaped how people understood the globe. The tricorn hat quietly became associated with that spirit: bold explorers setting sail toward the unknown.

Founded in Muscat, Oman by two tourism experts from Europe and Arabia, our company blends international perspective with deep regional insight. With more than a decade of experience across four continents, we aim to bridge a long-standing gap in the region’s tourism offering.
